Compost Worms

Compost worms are a particular type of earthworm, they are in the Epigeic category (Greek for “upon the earth”). These worms live in the surface litter and feed on decaying organic matter. They do not burrow deeply into the soil. They consume approximately half their body weight each day and their population can double every two months in ideal conditions.
