Vermicompost

Vermicompost has better structure, microbial content and plant available nutrients than compost. It contains compounds that accelerate plant growth and crop yields. The rich and diverse microbial life present in vermicompost protects plant roots from disease and attack by root-feeding organisms.

Furthermore, it inhibits some insects because of a compound called “chitinase” which damages the exoskeleton of insects. Vermicompost improves soil porosity, aeration, drainage and moisture-holding capacity. If you would like to learn more about vermicompost, go to the About Vermicompost section.
